About me

Helen and 2 dogs

my girls

Hi my name is Helen and animals have always been my passion. I have been around animals all my life and now have three dogs myself, two of which are rescues. I am an Agility Club registered trainer and love to compete regularly all around the country. Also I have trained to teach dogs up to level six in scent work and have attended dog behavioural courses. I believe whatever you do with your dog it should always be fun whether it is walking or training and I build close bonds with all the dogs I look after. Knowing animals through experience and training allows me to give an excellent level of care for your best friends.

Award winner

Local dog trainer wins national award for dog agility Helen Stone and Kyla from Dorking have won an award in the prestigious Agility Club Agility Leagues for 2019. The Agility Club is the oldest club in the world solely dedicated to the exciting sport of dog agility, and the leagues have been part of the club’s offering for over thirty years. The leagues are open to over 1,400 club members, who win points for places gained in agility competitions during the year – at shows from Scotland to Cornwall and everywhere in between! Making the top ten is no mean feat and being crowned the winner means the dog and handler teams have shown not just success, but consistency too. Dog agility is split into seven grades, depending on the experience of the dog, and the leagues reflect the same structure to ensure a fair competition. Each dog competes in one league each year. There are separate awards for veteran handlers over the age of 65, and juniors under and over 12 years. Points Secretary Nicola Ayres says: “The Agility Club leagues are a huge undertaking. Every year, thousands of points are added to the database, which all need checking, verifying and collating to give our winners. To be crowned the top handler and dog team in any of the leagues is an incredible achievement. “Kyla has done incredibly well to be crowned the winner of medium grade 4 league with 422 points.” Trophies for the league winners are presented at a special ceremony in March.
